How to ask
Fill in the form below, or email matt@boostkit.io with the subject "Delete my data". There is no charge and you do not need to sign in. To find the right records, please include:
- your name, and the email address or phone number the records are likely to be under;
- the name of the business you dealt with, if you were its customer;
- if you connected a Facebook or Google account, the name of the Page, business or account;
- whether you want everything deleted or only something in particular.
Please do not send passwords, card details or identity documents. If I need to confirm who you are, I will ask.
What happens next
- I confirm that I have your request and, if there is any doubt, check that it comes from the person the data is about.
- If you are a customer of a business that uses Boostkit, that business is responsible for your data. I pass your request to it promptly and delete your data on its instruction.
- If you sign in to Boostkit, or you connected an account to it, I act on your request myself.
- The data is deleted from the live database, and I write back to tell you what was deleted and anything that had to be kept.
Requests are completed within one month of being received, and usually much sooner.
What is deleted
If you are a customer of a business
Your contact record and what hangs from it: notes, tasks, bookings, messages, form answers, enquiries and leads, and sales records.
If you signed in to Boostkit
Your access to every account, and your sign-in account with its name, email address and sign-in history.
If you connected Facebook or Google
- The access tokens for the connected account, so Boostkit can no longer reach it.
- Facebook: the leads received from your Page's lead forms, and the details of the connected Page.
- Google: the copies of your Business Profile reviews, the details of the connected location, and the busy times read from a connected calendar.
Deleting data here does not delete anything held by Facebook or Google themselves, such as the reviews on your Business Profile or the leads stored in your Facebook lead forms.
What may have to be kept
- Invoices and payment records that a business must keep by law for its accounts and tax. They are kept by that business for as long as the law requires.
- A record that an email address has unsubscribed, so that it is not sent marketing again.
- Entries in the audit log that show an action was taken, including the deletion itself.
- Records held by Stripe about a card payment, which Stripe keeps under its own legal duties.
Removing access yourself
You can cut Boostkit off from a connected account at once, without waiting for me.
- In Boostkit: open Settings, Connections and remove the connection. A staff member removes their own calendar under Settings, Calendars. This deletes the stored tokens.
- On Facebook: open Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Business integrations, and remove Boostkit. When you remove an app, Facebook offers a link to this page so you can send the request above.
- On Google: open myaccount.google.com/connections, choose Boostkit and delete all connections you have with it.
Removing access stops anything new being read. To have what was already copied deleted, send the request described above.
When a business closes its account
When a client stops using Boostkit, its account and everything in it, including its customers' records and any connected accounts, are deleted within 90 days. The privacy notice has more on how long data is kept and on your other rights.
